Why Is It Formed into a Disc?
We designed and patented the Tea Disc for two reasons:
1. To make loose leaf tea simple to use. Loose leaf tea tastes better than instant or tea bags, but often we fall at the first hurdle - how much to use. We removed that barrier so more people could enjoy amazing tea experiences.
2. To take loose leaf tea with you. Don't stoop to a tea bag on the go! The Tea Disc allows you to take your favorite loose leaf tea with you, enjoying quality tea at any moment.
And as health and wellness is important to us, we have enriched each Tea Disc with your daily dose of probiotics.
Use with Tea Infuser or Teapot and Steep!
One Tea Disc for one cup/small teapot. Two Tea Discs for a regular teapot. You can resteep Tea Discs 2-3 times before losing flavor.
For the perfect cup of iLOLA tea refer to the below instructions:
- Functional teas are steeped 205°F (96°C) - 212°F (100°C) for 4 – 6 minutes
- Herbal teas are steeped 205°F (96°C) - 212°F (100°C) for 4 – 6 minutes
- Oolong teas are steeped 195°F (91°C) - 205°F (96°C) for 3 – 4 minutes
- Black teas are steeped 195°F (91°C) - 205°F (96°C) for 3 – 4 minutes
- Green teas are steeped 175°F (79°C) - 185°F (85°C) for 2 – 4 minutes
- White teas are steeped 175°F (79°C) - 185°F (85°C) for 2 – 4 minutes
For a delicious iced tea, pour boiling water over Tea Disc and steep at room temperature for eight to twelve hours. Pour over ice and refresh. The best conditions for Tea Discs are Hot water as it allows the Tea to infuse better with the water. Allowing this to cool, either poured over Ice or placed in a cooler will extract as much flavor into your iced tea as possible.
